Worked All Little Chef Awards
Background
The Worked All Little Chef
Awards was created in order to promote ham radio mobile operation, to develop a
better knowledge of the Little Chef company and its menu and to help radio
amateurs develop a better knowledge of United Kingdom road network. The award
is free of charge and certificates may be issued. What? You want a piece of
paper? Oh, all right; a downloadable PDF will be available on request. OK?
Objective
The awards will reward both
those who operate, and those who successfully work stations operating from
Little Chef restaurants and car parks. There are currently 174 Little Chefs in

authority. SWLs may also apply.
Applications
Award applications should be sent to stewart@gm4aff.net and must consist of a log extract showing QSO date, time, callsign and mode along with the associated Little Chef restaurant reference number. Whilst the award is made in the spirit of amateur radio goodwill and honesty, we would hope that no one took advantage of our lack of QSO or Little Chef placement verification. We may carry out a check questionnaire which can involve confirming the existence of an external mains electricity blue plug (as used for grass cutting, etc), description of crockery or place-mats, or some other random check to verify the visit.
